  • Manufacturing Engineer

    Job Description:

    Engineering support of operations on the manufacturing floor. Designing and implementing process and equipment improvements. Design and implementation of tools, fixtures, methods, aimed at improving manufacturing efficiencies. Direct interface with customers – troubleshooting problems, suppliers of materials, equipment and services. Contribute to cost estimating of jobs in determining opportunities for cost improvements. Work with equipment manufacturers and maintenance to achieve optimum performance. Develop and implement data collection and process controls to be used on the manufacturing floor. Contribute to the creation f process documentation and work instructions to be used in manufacturing. Design and conduct experiments for problem solving, new process development, and new product creation.

    Job Requirements:

    Use of six sigma techniques for statistical methods such as DOE, SPC and FMEA. Use of cad for analysis and design of solid models using; catia, pro-e and Unigraphics. Project Management, Water jet machining. Lean Manufacturing concepts.
    BS degree in engineering.

    Manufacturing engineer with experience in methods, military/ aerospace, custom fabrications in the $300K to $.5MM range.     Production Operator
    Rynel, Wiscasset, ME

    Job Summary:

    Perform duties that are either pre or post foam production. Pre foam production would include the preparation of specialized aqueous batches. Post foam production would include, slitting, wet and dry die stamping, re-rolling and performing quality control tasks on the Lamination Line. Provide continuous improvement of the workflow of pre and post foam production activities through constant monitoring and analysis of the manufacturing processes. Working with others in a team environment to achieve the maximum quality and quantity of materials/products manufactured in the safest and most efficient manner.

    Job Description:

  • Responsible for the quality of the materials/products produced in the assigned area.
  • Oversees and promotes two-way communication with team members on and off shift.
  • Recommends to Manufacturing Supervisors and implements improvements in workplace safety and use of equipment to improve quality, increase efficiencies and improvement in production methods.
  • Updates quality and production records.
  • Effectively communicates with Quality Assurance personnel to ensure the production of quality material and to ensure timely testing of raw materials.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the assigned task.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Responsible for implementing continuous improvement activities, including ISO 9001 and ISO13485 requirements.
  • Troubleshoots manufacturing equipment and interacts with Maintenance and Manufacturing Supervisors.
  • Assist/temporarily fill-in for Foam Line Quality Control personnel.
  • Recommends modifications to work instructions and/or procedures as necessary.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisors or Manager

  • Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining and participating in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned decisions, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, writing and listening, etc.)
  • Ability to meet job performance measures with minimal direct supervision and guidance.
  • Effective personal organization skills.
  • Ability to perform housekeeping tasks and maintain a neat work area.
  • Ability to effectively utilize Email, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access
  • Ability to train personnel to constantly improve the quality output of the production processes.
  • Flexibility of work hours (including overtime) and/or shifts is required to ensure production goals are met.
  • Basic mechanical skills.

We are seeking a Manager of Finance to oversee all financial activities for our manufacturing plant in Biddeford , ME. This position will be located at our Biddeford Manufacturing Operation and report to the General Manager.
    Major responsibilities for this position will include: Plant P&L, cost accounting, pricing, fixed asset controls, capital expenditures, rationale/tracking, cost reduction programs, responsibility for leading physical inventory, inventory analysis/usage, and weekly/monthly reporting requirements to corporate. Some travel will be required.

    Requirements:

    Qualified candidate should possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting with at least 10 years of experience in a job/process costing manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and deadlines is a must. Candidate should be a self starter who takes a hands-on approach and has excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
