What's new in BGS (Business Growth Services)
In today’s complex and competitive manufacturing environment do you find your business has challenges getting to least cost production methods? Would your company’s throughput improve by minimizing “non-value add” steps and maximizing “value-add” steps? Do you recognize these terms and could your company use help to facilitate “change” in your process to increase profitability? Does your company have tasks or projects that your manufacturing engineering staff hasn’t been able to tackle because of their current work load? There are many ways to review and implement processes and improvements for your company. Here are a few key areas that can lead a company to lower production costs and increased profitability:
- Operations review & assessment
- Material flow & plant layout optimization
- Lean assessments
- Productivity improvements
- Bottleneck identification
- Process automation
- Special purpose machine building
Submitted by Daryl Boyington, Boyington Productivity Solutions, a BGS network provider for the MAMe Business Growth Services Division. Daryl can be reached at daryl@boyingtonproductivitysolutions.com or call (207) 356-4364.
